About the Festival
The Youth Festival will showcase and celebrate the work of diverse youth groups in the Taylor Massey neighbourhood. The Festival will feature youth-led performances, workshops, information booths and discussions as well as performances by emerging diverse youth artists designed to foster intercultural appreciation, dialogue and understanding. The event is a unique opportunity for youth to develop new employment and professional skills and the confidence they need to become engaged citizens and leaders in their community. Participating youth will be trained and mentored to plan and implement the day long Festival. The youth will be mentored on setting objectives, timelines, and a plan to realize, measure and report on these goals. Over 100 youth will be involved in running workshops, performances, discussions and volunteering at the event. Join us!
