Using our Space

The distinctive house and grounds of the Massey Goulding Estate, located in Taylor Creek Park, are an excellent choice for business retreats and meetings, weddings, parties and other activities.

The space is available for use by members making an appropriate donation.

FAQ

1. What spaces are available?
Ground Floor
- The Great Hall (30ft x 21ft) is the largest room on the ground floor. It has double doors opening onto a covered patio, the grounds and the Amphitheatre.
- The Amphitheatre is an outdoor theatre behind the house. It is wired for electricity.
- The Dining Room (15ft x 17ft) is located between the Great Hall and the Meditation Room.
- The Meditation Room is the smallest room on the ground floor (14ft x 11ft) with two walls of windows.
- The large Kitchen is moderately equipped and can be used for catering. 
- There are two bathrooms located on the ground floor.
Upstairs
- The Art Room (21ft x 17ft) can be booked separately or in conjunction with the ground floor.
- There are three bathrooms on the upper level.
  
2. What is the suggested capacity of each space?
Great Hall: 100 standing; 50-75 for a presentation; 50 at dining tables
Dining Room: 40 standing;  20-30 for a presentation; 30 at dining tables
Entire Ground Floor: 140 standing; 80 at dining tables
Amphitheatre: 300 seated
Meditation Room: Optimal for groups of about 10 
Art Room: Optimal for groups of 15-20; casual and comfortable

3. What is the process to use the space?
Please call us at 416.752.1550 or e-mail us at alixa@childrenspeacetheatre.org to discuss your needs or make an appointment to view the space.

4. What is the donation process for using the space?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon signing, and the balance is due one month before the rental date.

5. Are there any time restrictions?
Only that outdoor noise must end at 11:00 pm.

6. What household items are available for use?
Furniture: Over 50 chairs; many tables; piano; couch in Meditation Room; Fully equipped kitchen with microwave/convection oven and dishwasher; Dishes, cutlery and glasses
Other: Hand towels, soap and toilet paper provided; Twinkle lights for decorating

7. What is the policy on liquor consumption or sale?
Liquor may be served. Users of the space are responsible for the safety and sobriety of their guests.
Special events at which alcohol will be served require a Special Occasion Permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission. Please visit www.agco.on.ca for more information.

8. What about weddings at the Estate?
The Massey Goulding Estate is the ideal place for an exceptional wedding. Call us to discuss your plans today!
