creating a culture of peace

City on The Move:  Young Artists in Transit

Congratulations to all the youth who participated in City on the Move: Young Artists in Transit project and to artist Jim Bravo and all the partners Children’s Peace Theatre, Arts for Children and Youth, The City of Toronto, and Toronto Transit Commission.

Special thanks to Poet Laureate George Elliott Clarke who met with the youth and wrote the poetry in response to their work.

From 2013-2104 Local youth worked with a professional artist Jim Bravo at Children's Peace Theatre to design murals depicting the neighbourhood's stories to beautify Coxwell and Woodbine subway stations while it is under construction.
